StonToday, I am proud to present Therapeutic Embrace!
Paige Hanson, a fellow classmate at Ortonville High School, is the owner/operator/masseuse at Therapeutic Embrace. I was so excited to hear from her when she contacted me a couple weeks ago for some marketing help!
Paige already had an established logo and several marketing materials such as a business card, brochure, and gift certificates which were very well done by Miss Leslie Wood. Along with print material, she also had a website and Facebook presence that needed a little work…that’s where she enlisted my services. So with the foundation already built by Leslie, my job of updating was much easier!
The logo for Therapeutic Embrace is a globe with a hand, and the color that Paige chose to represent her business is orange. Let’s reflect on some color psychology…since I’m a nerd like that. 🙂 If you do a little research on other massage salons and spas, the color that they seem to generally focus on is green. Why is that, you ask? Well, the color green is associated with growth and good health which is appropriate for such businesses.
Now you’re probably wondering, “Ok, Lindsay, what the heck are you doing advising a massage therapy salon to use orange in their brand?!” Paige and I didn’t have a chance to discuss this, but I thought her choice of orange to represent her business was a little stroke of genius. 🙂 Although green is fitting for the massage/spa industry, many use that color…Paige, however, set herself apart by using a different color (Branding 101, people!). Now let’s review what the color orange “says”…light orange evokes feelings of both energy and relaxation while dark orange says “cozy”. I think I can safely say that those feelings are appropriate for a massage environment. Both colors can be seen on Therapeutic Embrace’s new and improved website: www.therapeutic-embrace.com
In the re-design of the website, each page has the business name, logo, and contact information (consistency is key, remember?). I also re-organized the pages and contents of each webpage to make it easier to navigate and read. A “Testimonial” tab was added to feature what Paige’s current and previous customers had to say about their experiences at Therapeutic Embrace.
Paige also requested assistance keeping up with Therapeutic Embrace’s Facebook page. I enlisted another of my nerdy features…planning. 🙂 The schedule included suggestions about different kinds of posts to do each day (because to be most effective via Facebook, you should post AT LEAST once daily). The schedule includes things like “Monday: This month’s specials” or on one or two Tuesdays during the month “Testimonial Tuesday” which features a recommendation or thank you from one of Paige’s clients.
This is the lovely Miss Paige Hanson. She offers services in Stone Therapy, Reflexology, and many different kinds of Massage. She can be found at 3 different locations:
